لوزارتانلوزارتان از پرمصرف ترین داروهای قلبی در ایران می باشد. این دارو از دسته داروهای بلوک کننده ی گیرنده ی آنژیوتانسین دو می باشد.
آنژیوتانسین دو ،ماده ای شیمیایی می باشد که در بدن مسئول تنگ کردن عروق خونی می باشد.همچنین این ماده با تاثیر بر روی ماده ی شیمیایی دیگر به آلدسترون که مسئول افزایش حجم بخش مایع (آب و مايعات جذب شده)خون می باشد ، جریان خون را افزایش می دهد. در نتیجه این داروها که در حقیقت اثرمهارکنندگی دارند، در کاهش کار قلب و کنترل فشارخون موثر می باشند.همچنین لوزارتان اثر محافظتی مطلوبی بر روی کلیه ها دارد.
لوزارتان در مواردی مانند فشارخون بالابا کنترل فشار خون ،در نارسایی های قلبی برای کاهش کار قلب و جهت محافظت از کلیه ها در بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع 2 که با اختلالات کلیوی درگیر می باشند تجویز می شود.
این دارو به تنهایی یا همراه با داروهای دیگر برای بهبود عملکرد قلبی و عروق شما تجویز می شود.حتی محصولات دارویی ترکیبی از لوزارتان همراه با یک یا دو داروی دیگر تولید شده اند که اثر مناسب تر همراه با استفاده ی راحت تری داشته باشند مانند داروی Cozaar که ترکیبی از لوزارتان و یک داروی ادرار آور به هیدروکلروتیازید می باشد که برای کاهش فشار خون تجویز می شود.پیش از مصرف لوزارتان_در صورت سابقه ی هرگونه مشکل کلیوی(خصوصا مشکلات مربوط به انسداد عروق کلیوی)،مشکلات مربوط به دریچه های قلب یا عضلات قلبی و مشکلات کبدی پزشک خودرا مطلع کنید.
-از آنجا که این دارو می تواند در عملکرد داروهای دیگر در بدن اختلال ایجاد کند لازم است پیش از شروع مصرف لیستی از کلیه ی داروهای مصرفی خود در اختیار پزشک یا داروسازتان قرار دهید.
_ممکن است پزشک شما درمان را با مقدار داروی کم شروع کند و پس از عادت کردن بدن،مقدار داروی شمارا افزایش دهد تا بدن شما بتدریجپبه اثرات دارو عادت پیدا کند.
_زمان مشخص در روز را برای مصرف این دارو تعیین کنید و برای اثر مناسب آن را منظم مصرف نمایید.برای بسیاری از بیماران مصرف این دارو صبح ها راحت تر می باشد.
-این دارو با غذا تداخل خاصی ندارد و می توان آن را قبل یا بعد از غذا مصرف کرد.
_به دلیل اینکه فشار خون بالا معمولا یک بیماری مزمن می باشد مصرف این دارو عموما به مدت طولانی توسط پزشک تجویز می شود لذا به مصرف دارو حتی در صورتی که احساس بهبودی می کنید ادامه دهید و دارو را بدون نظر پزشک قطع نکنید و عموما معاینات و آزمایشات (مانند پیگیری وضع پتاسیم خون ) دوره ای توسط پزشک خودرا ادامه دهید.
_مصرف برخی از ضد دردها و ضد التهاب ها (مانند آسپرین و ایپوبروفن)ممکم است باعث افزایش احتمال بروز عوارض دارویی لوزارتان شوند لذا لیست کلیه داروهای جدید خودرا پیش از شروع مصرف در اختیار پزشک یا داروساز خود قرار دهید .
_ جهت کنترل فشار خون و اثر مناسب تر این دارو، بسیار مهم است که در مدت درمان از یک رژیم غذایی و سبک زندگی مناسب که توسط پزشک به شما توصیه می شود پیروی کنید.
-مصرف این دارو در مدت درمان با این دارو احتمال بروز عوارضی همچون سرگیجه و از حال رفتن را تشدید میکند.
_از مصرف نمک های حاوی پتاسیم در مدت درمان با این دارو خودداری نمایید.عوارض شایع لوزارتان-احساس خستگی و سرگیجه یا سبکی سر هنگام تغییر وضعیت از حالت نشسته و خوابیده به ایستاده عارضه ی شایعی میباشد.بهتر است به آرامی تغییر وضعیت دهید و در صورتی که احساس سرگیجه نمودید برای چند دقیقه بنشینید و سپس بلند شوید.
لوزارتان می تواند منجر به تغییر میزان پتاسیم خون شود به همین خاطر انجام آزمایشات خون دوره ای برای پیگیری سطح پتاسیم خون توصیه می شود.

لوزارتان (Cozaar) متعلق به گروه داروهایی است که آنتاگونیست گیرنده آنژیوتانسین II یده می شوند. این دارو از تنگ شدن رگ های خونی جلوگیری می کند که باعث می شود فشار خون کاهش پیدا کند و جریان خون را بهبود می دهد.
لوزارتان برای درمان فشار خون بالا (hypertension) استفاده می شود. این دارو برای کاهش خطر ابتلا به سکته در برخی افراد مبتلا به بیماری قلبی نیز استفاده می شود.
لوزارتان برای کند کردن آسیب دراز مدت به کلیه در افراد دیابتی نوع 2 که فشار خون بالا دارند نیز استفاده می شود. ممکن است این دارو برای اهداف دیگری نیز به کار برده شود که در این مقاله به آن اشاره نشده است.
اگر باردار هستید از این دارو استفاده نکنید. اگر باردار شده اید استفاده از این دارو را متوقف و سریعا به پزشک اطلاع دهید. اگر این دارو را در طول سه ماهه دوم یا سوم بارداری استفاده کنید می تواند به جنین آسیب برساند یا موجب مرگ جنین شود. از روش های جلوگیری از بارداری موثر استفاده کنید.
اگر به لوزارتان آلرژی دارید از این دارو استفاده نکنید.
اگر دیابت دارید لوزارتان را همراه با هر دارویی که حاوی آلیسکیرن (Amturnide ،Tekturna ،Tekamlo ،Valturna) است استفاده نکنید.
در موارد نادر، لوزارتان میتواند باعث وضعیتی شود که نتیجه آن از کارافتادگی بافت ماهیچه اسکلتی و شکست کلیه است. اگر دچار درد ماهیچه، ضعف یا سستی مخصوصا اگر با تب، خستگی غیر عادی و ادرار تیره همراه بود سریعا به پزشک اطلاع دهید.
اگر به لوزارتان آلرژی دارید نباید از آن استفاده کنید.
اگر دیابت دارید لوزارتان را همراه با هر دارویی که حاوی آلیسکیرن (Amturnide ،Tekturna ،Tekamlo ،Valturna) است استفاده نکنید. اگر بیماری کلیوی دارید ممکن است نیاز باشد تا از مصرف این دارو با آلیسکیرن اجتناب کنید.
برای اینکه مطمئن شوید مصرف لوزارتان برایتان بی خطر است اگر شرایط زیر را داشتید به پزشک اطلاع دهید:

تاثیر داروی لوزارتان روی شیر مادر یا کودک شیرخوار مشخص نشده است. بنابراین تا زمانی که از این دارو استفاده می کنید کودک را با شیر خود تغذیه نکنید.
داروی لوزارتان را دقیقا طبق دستور پزشکتان مصرف نمایید. از دستورات روی برچسب دارو پیروی کنید. گاهی اوقات پزشک ممکن است دوز دارو را برای به دست آوردن نتایج بهتر تغییر دهد. این دارو را در مقدار کمتر یا از چیزی که تجویز شده است مصرف نکنید.
لوزارتان را همراه یا بدون غذا می توانید مصرف کنید.
اگر حالت تهوع یا استفراغ مدام دارید یا بیش از حد معمول عرق می کنید به پزشک اطلاع دهید. ممکن است در طول مصرف این دارو بدنتان دچار کمبود آب شود که منجر به کاهش فشار خون شدید یا بهم خوردن تعادل الکترولیت ها به طور خطرناکی شود.

لوزارتان را در دمای اتاق دور از رطوبت، نور و گرما نگهداری کنید.
به محض به یاد آوردن، دارو را مصرف نمایید. اگر تقریبا زمان دوز بعدی نزدیک است از دوز فراموش شده بگذرید. داروی اضافه برای جبران دوز از دست رفته مصرف نکنید.
سریعا با اورژانس تماس بگیرید یا به اورژانس مراجعه نمائید.
مصرف الکل می تواند فشار خون را کاهش دهد و ممکن است عوارض جانبی لوزارتان را افزایش دهد.
تا زمانی که در حال مصرف این دارو هستید مکمل های پتاسیم یا جایگزین های نمک استفاده نکنید مگر اینکه پزشک گفته باشد.
از بلند شدن سریع در حالت های نشسته یا دراز کشیده اجتناب کنید یا ممکن است احساس سرگیجه کنید. برای جلوگیری از افتادن به آرامی برخیزید.
اگر هر کدام از علائم آلرژی به لوزارتان را دارید سریعا به اورژانس مراجعه نمایید علائمی مانند: کهیر، تنفس به سختی، متورم شدن صورت، لب ها، زبان و گلو.
درصورتی که هر کدام از شرایط زیر را داشتید با پزشک تماس بگیرید:
احساسی که ممکن است ناگهان بیهوش شوید
درد یا سوزش هنگام ادرار
رنگ پریدگی پوست، احساس گیجی یا تنفس کوتاه، ضربان قلب سریع، مشکل تمرکز
خس خس سینه، درد قفسه سینه
خواب آلودگی، گیجی، تغییرات خلق و خو، عطش، کاهش اشتها، حالت تهوع و استفراغ
تورم، افزایش وزن، احساس تنگی نفس، کاهش ادرار کمتر از حد معمول یا نداشتن ادرار،
پتاسیم بالا (کند شدن ضربان قلب، نبض ضعیف، ضعف ماهیچه ها، احساس سوزن سوزن یا احساس سوزش داشتن)
عوارض جانبی شایع لوزارتان شامل:
علائم سرماخوردگی یا انفلوانزا مانند گرفتگی بینی، عطسه، گلودرد، تب.

(losartan)
Losartan belongs to a family of medications known as angiotensin II receptor blockers. These medications are used in adults and children over the age of six to lower mild-to-moderate hypertension (high blood pressure).
Angiotensin II is a chemical that the body releases to cause the constriction of blood vessels. Losartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, resulting in the relaxation of the blood vessels. This relaxation causes the blood pressure to drop. The full effects of losartan are usually seen within 3 to 6 weeks after treatment has started. Losartan may be used alone or in combination with a diuretic (water pill).
Losartan may also be taken by adults who have type 2 diabetes along with hypertension and protein in the urine (proteinuria). In these cases, losartan is used to protect the kidneys from further damage due to diabetes.
This medication may be available under multiple brand names and/or in several different forms. Any specific brand name of this medication may not be available in all of the forms or approved for all of the conditions discussed here. As well, some forms of this medication may not be used for all of the conditions discussed here.
Your doctor may have suggested this medication for conditions other than those listed in these drug information articles. Each white-to-off-white, oval, biconvex, film-coated tablet debossed with “E” on one side and “45” on other, contains 25 mg losartan as losartan potassium. Nonmedicinal ingredients: cellulose microcrystalline, lactose monohydrate, starch pregelatinised, low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, and opadry white 2A589.
5 mg
Each white-to-off-white, oval, biconvex, film-coated tablet debossed with “E” on one side and “4” and “6” separated by scoreline on other side, contains 5 mg losartan as losartan potassium. Nonmedicinal ingredients: cellulose microcrystalline, lactose monohydrate, starch pregelatinised, low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, and opadry white 2A589.
1 mg
Each white-to-off-white, oval, biconvex, film-coated tablet debossed with “E” on one side and “47” on other, contains 1 mg losartan as losartan potassium. Nonmedicinal ingredients: cellulose microcrystalline, lactose monohydrate, starch pregelatinised, low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, and opadry white 2A589.
The usual recommended dose of losartan for adults is 5 mg or 1 mg once daily. The usual starting dose is 5 mg once daily. In some cases, a lower starting dose of 25 mg once daily may be advisable. A dose of 1 mg once daily should not be exceeded. Your doctor will adjust the dosage according to individual needs.
The usual recommended dose of losartan for children, aged 6 – 16 years, is based on body weight. The dose is 25 mg once daily for children weighing between 2 kg and 49 kg. This dose may be increased to 5 mg once daily. In children weighing more than 5 kg, the starting dose is 5 mg taken once daily. This dose may be increased to 1 mg once daily.
Losartan may be taken with or without food, but should be taken the same way each day.
Many things can affect the dose of a medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
It is important that this medication be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater (e.g. down the sink or in the toilet) or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.
Losartan should not be taken by anyone who:
Many medications can cause side effects. A side effect is an unwanted response to a medication when it is taken in normal doses. Side effects can be mild or severe, temporary or permanent. The side effects listed below are not experienced by everyone who takes this medication. If you are concerned about side effects, discuss the risks and benefits of this medication with your doctor.
The following side effects have been reported by at least 1% of people taking this medication. Many of these side effects can be managed, and some may go away on their own over time.
Contact your doctor if you experience these side effects and they are severe or bothersome. Your pharmacist may be able to advise you on managing side effects.
Although most of these side effects listed below don’t happen very often, they could lead to serious problems if you do not check with your doctor or seek medical attention.

Before you begin using a medication, be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breast-feeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should use this medication.
Blood pressure: Occasionally, a larger-than-expected drop in blood pressure occurs after taking losartan, in some cases after the first dose. It is more likely to occur if you take diuretics (water pills), have reduced salt intake, are on dialysis, or are experiencing diarrhea or vomiting. Blood pressure should be checked more often in these situations. If you have low blood pressure or are just starting to take this medication, you should move slowly when you are rising from a reclining to an upright position to reduce the risk of dizziness.
Dizziness: Losartan may cause dizziness, affecting your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid these and other hazardous tasks until you have determined how this medication affects you.
Kidney problems: The use of losartan may affect the of the kidneys, especially for those who already have kidney problems. Certain people have experienced changes in kidney (e.g., people with narrowed blood vessels in their kidneys, or those with severe congestive heart failure). The use of diuretics (water pills), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or aliskiren may further increase risk of kidney problems for people already at risk for this problem. If you have kidney problems, your doctor will likely closely monitor your condition while you are taking this medication.
Liver : Losartan is removed from the body by the liver. Liver disease or reduced liver may cause this medication to build up in the body, causing side effects. If you have liver problems, discuss with your doctor how this medication may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of this medication, and whether any special monitoring is needed. Your doctor may want to test your liver regularly with blood tests while you are taking this medication.
Pregnancy: Losartan should not be taken by pregnant women as it can cause harm to an unborn child. If you are planning to become pregnant, discuss alternative medications for blood pressure control with your doctor.
If you become pregnant while taking this medication, stop taking it and tell your doctor at once.
Breast-feeding: It is not known if losartan passes into breast milk. If you are a breast-feeding mother and are taking this medication, it may affect your baby. Talk to your doctor about whether you should continue breast-feeding.
Children: The safety and effectiveness of using this medication have not been established for children less than 6 years of age.
