Wellman Conception is a comprehensive formulation with specific nutrients, including zinc which contributes to normal fertility and reproduction. Zinc and vitamin C also contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, an important consideration for healthy sperm production as sperm can be damaged by free radicals. These nutrients also help contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

Zinc is arguably one of the most important minerals for the male reproductive system as semen contains 100 times more zinc than is found in the blood. In fact each ejaculate contains around 5mg of zinc; one half of the whole recommended daily nutrient intake, therefore 15mg of zinc has been included within the formulation.

Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity, while zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood and selenium contributes to normal spermatogenesis. Folate, iron, magnesium and vitamin B12 have a role in cell division, plus vitamin A, which has a role in the process of cell specialisation.

Vitamins A, C and D contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin B12 and B6 contribute to normal red blood cell formation and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Iron also contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin which carries oxygen and blood to the body’s organs. Wellman Conception contains 30 tablets per pack and it is recommended to take one per day.

One tablet per day is recommended with or immediately after your main meal, with water or a cold drink. Wellman Conception should only be taken on a full stomach. Always ensure that Wellman Conception is taken with plenty of liquid to wash down the tablet. We do not recommend chewing the tablets because they have not been formulated as a chewable preparation. Wellman Conception tablets are suitable for vegetarians.

Difficulty in swallowing tablets is quite a common experience. Vitabiotics have researched this extensively and recommend after chewing some food (e.g. banana), just before you swallow, pop the tablet into your mouth and swallow it together with the chewed food, followed by some liquid. The throat opens up wider to swallow the chewed food and so the tablet should go down with greater ease. Alternatively, the tablets may be swallowed with thicker liquids such as yoghurts or smoothies.
